Heart Healthy Homegrown Garden Kit with heartbreaker tomato + herbs

Your Heart Healthy Homegrown Garden Kit will arrive with everything needed to have a successful growing season and abundance of fresh tomato + herbs. All you need to add is the nurturing, water, and sunshine! Everything in the garden is matched to you and to the needs of your plants.

The outdoor garden kit will include:

Portable Grow Bag with handles, designed by Craig Hammer for Gardenuity. It is made of breathable microfiber fabric that will help keep your plants' roots healthy and happy. Your plants will grow the entire season in the grow bag. (You can reuse the Grow Bag for next season, too!)

Fully-Rooted Heartbreaker Tomato + Seasonal Herb Plants – A collection of tomato + herbs matched to the season, your location, and to each other. These fully-rooted plants are sourced from one of our family-owned farm partners and come with the Gardenuity Get Growing Guarantee.

Coir – Compressed coconut husks that when hydrated will expand and become part of your garden's planting media.

Soil Primer – A proprietary blend of nutrients designed as the chief dietary supplement to support the growth of soil microbes.

Triple Blend – A proprietary blend that will support the living organisms in your soil and will aid in balancing the pH of the growing media. Triple Blend brings together carbohydrates, plant proteins, kelp extract, Humate, and a fermentation buffer.

Foundation – The Gardenuity Foundation is custom blended seasonal compost, full of nutrients for your plants to thrive.

Gardenuity Veggie Serum – An exclusive soil amendment that will help your plants grow a stronger and healthier root system. Derived from seaweed and humate, the Veggie Serum will aid in bringing balance through naturally derived and plant friendly microbes.

Spray Bottle – For hydrating and feeding your garden!

Protector – Hydrating Mulch; an organically derived soil protector to help maintain moisture balance, reduce compaction of soil, and moderate soil temperature.

2 Stakes + Twine – Your tomatoes may need a little extra support as they grow. You can support your plants with the two stakes and twine supplied in your kit. Place the stakes in the garden and use the twine to loosely attach them to the plant.

When your plants arrive, remove them from the box and check the soil. If it is dry to the touch, place your plants in a shallow dish of water and let them soak up the hydration they need. Then, place them in a sunny spot until you are ready to plant them in the grow bag. (It’s best to plant your garden within 24-48 hours of receiving your plants.)

Setting up your garden is simple and generally takes 30-40 minutes from start to finish. Printed instruction cards are included in each kit, or you can follow along with the provided video tutorial.

{icon_sunlight}SUNLIGHT{/icon_sunlight} Your Homegrown Garden will need 6-8 hours of sunlight per day.

When temperatures are over 90 degrees, we encourage you to move your garden into a shady spot. If the temperatures are forecasted to dip below 36 degrees, you may want to move your garden inside and away from the cold.

{icon_watering}WATER{/icon_watering} Water your garden 3-4 times per week. Your tomato plant thrives in consistently moist soil but not wet. Checking on your garden every morning is encouraged!

When temperatures are over 90 degrees, we encourage you to water your garden every morning and every evening. Morning sunshine and afternoon shade are good for your gardens especially on the long, hot days. With tomato plants, it is important to water the soil, not the plant.

{icon_feeding}FEEDING{/icon_feeding} Once per week, use your Gardenuity Veggie Serum and spray bottle to feed + nourish your plants.

{icon_harvesting}HARVESTING{/icon_harvesting} You can begin harvesting herbs 10-14 days after planting! Your tomatoes should be ready to harvest in 45-55 days.
