Waxed Amaryllis Bulbs – Guaranteed To Bloom

Blooms typically begin appearing in 4–6 weeks, but please allow up to 8 weeks. If your bulb hasn’t begun blooming after 8 weeks, contact us for a replacement.

If you plan to gift your bulb in a month or two, keep it cool, dark, and dry to help slow growth. Refrigerated storage can help delay blooming until you’re ready.

1. Remove all packaging. Take the bulb out of all packaging.
2. Make sure the bulb is completely dry. 
   For Bloomitures™, lacquered, or glossy bulbs, check the exterior for moisture before refrigerating. If it is damp, leave it at room temperature for 24–48 hours, or until fully dry. Refrigerating these bulbs while damp can cause the specialty wax finish to crack or flake off.
3. Store it in a cool, dark, dry location. Place the unboxed bulb upright toward the back of your refrigerator, away from walls and cooling vents to prevent freezing. Alternatively, use a dry, well-ventilated space that stays between 45°F and 55°F (7°C–13°C), such as a cool basement or spare room. Avoid damp areas and any location that may reach freezing temperatures. No watering is needed.
4. Keep it away from ripening fruit. Do not store amaryllis bulbs near ripening fruit (especially apples), as they release ethylene gas, which causes premature aging and can damage or kill the bulb. Ideally, store ripening fruit in a separate refrigerator. If apples must remain in the same refrigerator, place them in a container or closed produce drawer away from the bulb; (note: this does not eliminate exposure.)
5. Bring it out when you’re ready to gift or place. Return the bulb to room temperature and place it in a bright spot with indirect light to encourage growth. No planting, watering, or feeding is required.

Please note: Every bulb grows at its own pace. Cool storage helps delay growth but may not stop it completely or guarantee a specific bloom date.

Your order will ship within 2-4 business days after purchase. Once your order ships, it may take an additional 2-5 business days to arrive at your door.

Your live plants may arrive separately, as they often ship directly from our farm partners (no waiting in a warehouse somewhere). Live plants ship Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays via FedEx 2-day. We do our best to make sure everything in your order arrives the same or next day.

**Please Note: Shipping your plants safely is our top priority. If impending weather comes in, your order may be held for a few days to ensure the live plants can travel safely.
