Colorful Moon Cactus Desktop Garden

Your Colorful Cactus Desktop Garden comes as a kit with step-by-step instructions and everything you need to care for your plants (and yourself). As you build your indoor garden, enjoy getting a little dirty in the soil and creating a unique sanctuary with your cacti! Everything in the garden kit is designed with you in mind and customized to the needs of your plants.

Your Colorful Cactus Desktop Garden will include:

Bamboo Planter – A reusable planter made of sustainably sourced bamboo, and includes planter liner and tray. Approximately 5 x 5 x 5 inches.

2 “Moon Cacti” – A curated duo of cactus plants that have aligned light, soil, and nutritional requirements, making them ideal companion plants for your desktop.

Aeration Mat – A green aeration mat made from recycled bottles to be placed at the bottom of the black planter liner. This mat helps keep oxygen available to the plants’ roots, which is crucial for their growth and development.

Cacti Foundation (Soil) – The Gardenuity Foundation is custom blended compost matched to the needs of your cacti. 

Orange Scoop – To use when building your desktop garden.

Small Paintbrush – When indoors, cacti will gradually collect dust on their leaves, which can inhibit their growth and health. Keep your plants dust free by using the provided paint brush to gently remove any unwanted debris.

Decorative Rocks – Place the rocks on top of the soil, surrounding the base of your plants (optional). The rocks are only for aesthetic purposes, so add as much or as little as you want.

When your plants arrive, take them out of the box as soon as you can and remove their travel attire. Remove each cactus from its plastic pot and gently massage away the excess soil, freeing up the root system from the packed growing media.

Setting up your desktop garden is simple and generally takes 10-15 minutes from start to finish. Printed instruction cards are included in each kit.

PLANT CARE:

{icon_sunlight}LIGHT{/icon_sunlight} Your cacti thrive under bright, indirect light. For happy plants, place your garden near a window but avoid direct light from the harsh midday sun. Rotate your garden every week for even sunlight exposure.

{icon_watering}WATER{/icon_watering} Water your garden only when the soil is completely dried out. Before watering, remove the inner garden pot from the decorative planter—this helps prevent excess moisture from building up at the base.

Water the soil thoroughly until water runs out of the drainage holes. (This quick, deep soak mimics the brief but intense rains of the plants’ natural desert environment.)
